Dienstags von 13.30 – 14.30 in Raum 15

Over coffee, tea and cookies we read and discuss English , American, Canadian, Irish….literature of all kind.

Mostly short stories are preferred due to the short time available but there is no limit to ideas concerning topics and genres!!

In numerous meetings we went from short stories of E.A.Poe, Arthur Conan Doyle, Wilkie Collins,W.Somerset Maugham, E.Hemingway to those by Allan Sillitoe , T.C.Boyle , Hanif Kureishi ,Salman Rushdie, Colin Firth and Nick Hornby (to name a few) to drama like “Who´s afraid of Virginia Woolf” (Edward Albee) , G.B.Shaw´s “Pygmalion” to Tennessee Williams´ “A Cat on A Hot Tin Roof “ and even didn´t shy away from W.Shakespeare´s “Hamlet”.

For better understanding or comparison between print and film media we have a look at filmed versions now and then.

So: every literature fan( 1st semester and higher) is highly welcome to our club!!

And please note: these aren´t school lessons but informal gatherings for everyone to discover literature and its various sides!!

Looking forward to seeing you!
